Note:  thank you NetGalley and Zondervan publishers for giving me the great opportunity to read this book! This is my first ARC review, so I hope I did not mess it up...

The book:  Nicole (Nikki) Youngblood is jus t an ordinairy girl, until she is chased by 4 hellhounds. These dogs will change her life. From the moment the dogs attacked her she is guarded by 3 boys, Mace, Raven and Vine. There is something strange about them, they seem like they do not belong on this planet. Also, there is something wrong with their eyes, how can they be this dark? Nikki finds out they are Halflings, the offspring of fallen angels and humans. Also, she finds out that they may never fall in love with a human. But is that going to be a problem?

My opinion on:
·         The characters: The characters are pretty good. I liked the main female character, Nikki.  She is a very strong character. Also, you have her best friend. But I do most certainly not like her, she is brainwashed by the others, and wants to fit in too bad. Also, you have to boys, and I do totally love them! You have Mace, the nice one who will never do any harm to you, and Raven, the sexy badass boy. You will most likely love them both, or at least I did
·         The cover:  the cover designers did an awesome job here, only the cover would make me decide to but this book!
·         The way the book was written:  It was OK, it was quick in the beginning, You are immediately thrown into the story and first you do not know what is happening. But later it slows down, and you will start to understand it, and it gets all fine
·         the end:  great! I cannot wait to read the next part, actually. Very surprising end!

Total:
This book is definitely a great debut novel! I did like the book most because of the male characters, and how they kept on surprising me.

More?:
I would recommend this book to teens who love paranormal romance and fantasy. Read it and you will not disappointed!

My rating:
4.3/5 stars
