So, as you might know I'm not a real Twilight fan. But this trailer showed up and I just watched it. Well, my opinion on Twilight hasn't changed, although the movies are getting better and better (BD #1 is the exception, it was horrible) And now the BD#2 trailer is released. The acting got a little bit better.
The most exiting part of the Twilight series (the gathering of all vampires + fight) will be in this movie ^^
I absolutely hate it that Bella is a vampire now, because she isn't worth to be one. She should have died somewhere in the first book. *don't hate me, please* , and they completely screwed up the role of Renesmee in the movie. -well, that's my opinion again.-
Will I watch it? - Probably sometime in my life, but not on the premiere night Will I hate it? - A big chance I will.

Hi! It's a very important day today :) Or at least, it is for people who love the Hunger games that live in a country that has the film release today. I was very lucky, I have already seen it :D One of the not-so-many advantages of living in the Nerherlands

my thoughts:
well, Directly after I read the book *this was in July 2011* I looked the title up on imdb, as I always do. And I was astonished by the fact that the screenplay had already been written, and the actors had already been cast. Ever since, I followed all news about the Hunger Games. This cost lots of time, but honestly I did not care! The blurb on imdb looked great, and it seemed as if the movie was goint to be just like the book. And that would of course be fantastic, since the book was one of my favourites on 2011. I was a little worried that the movie would be rated 16 in the beginning. But when I started thinking about that, I knew that wasn't going to happen, because the target audience on the Hunger games is teens. It'd be very strange if they couldn't go to the movie...

these are the characters I think are the most important in the Hunger Games... I was worried when I saw that Jennifer Lawrence was cast for the role of Katniss. I thought she'd never be like I thought Katniss would be. I was completely wrong, as it turns out. She was the perfect Katniss! And the boys cast for the roles of Peeta and Gale both are very hot and perfectly casted for the roles, so I had no problems with them at all. Willow Shields also was casted perfectly, as was Amandla Stenberg. Both of them just are so totally adorable little girls, even though they are almost my age... Then there was Lenny Kravitz, who was cast for the role of Cinna. I love Lenny Kravitz' music, so this made me very happy! Elizabeth Banks also worried me a little. But then I saw her as Effie, and immediately all my worries faded! And, last but definitely not least, Woody Harrelson was cast as Haymitch. This was the best choice the casting people could have made. Haymitch has always been my favourite character, and I was very happy when I saw that he would be played by an actor who looked so much like I'd expected him to look!

and yeah, this made me want to watch The hunger games even more badly. If that was possible... So I continued on following the news and stuff, and started stalking all actors via twitter. *okay, not stalking, just listening to whatever they wanted to share :)*
Every time a new movie poster came, I changed my laptop and phone background.
and then finally it was time for the movie!
It was Wednesday the 21st of March, and the Hunger Games got into premiere in the Netherlands. I had to go to school first, but after that I went to the cinema. Surprisingly, the cinema was almost empty. That was not because no-one goes to the cinema in the Netherlands. It's just that the Hunger Games arent well-known in the Netherlands at all. But it didn't matter to me. I was going!
When, after all commercials, the movie finally started, I was super happy. Finally, the moment I'd been waiting for since July! I was a little worried, didn't I expect too much? But I wasn't disappointed at all.
I will not spoil it for you * I mean the movie * but most of the movie is just like the book. And I'm very happy about that. Haymitch still is my favourite character!
I will talk a little about my favourite scene in the movie. It was the scene in which Rue died. Katniss sung a song, and I was very, very quietly talking to myself. Don'tcryDon'tcryDon'tcry. But not crying was nearly impossible. The scene was just so moving!
Effie Trinket and her strange but awesome Capitol look
The dresses and outfits that were on fire were not done as good as I expected. They were not realistic at all, and that is one of the very few things that disappionted me about this movie. Aside of the dress, the clothing was great! The capitol fashion looked great. Everyone had a different haircolour, and everyone had to look different. It just looked so funny to see 20 people standing next to each other, all of them with different hair colours and ridiculous clothes!
There were no very bloody scenes in this movie. Of course, there were a lot of people killed, but you couldn't really see it, the biggest part of it was your own imagination. And this was, of course, done on purpose. If there'd been too many bloody scenes in the movie, it would've been rated R, which means that the target audience would not be able to watch the movie...
I am still mind-blown by this movie, and I will be for a long time. It's just like one of the last Harry Potter movies. You should go see it! Go buy yout movie tickets online now :)

note: I did not expect much of this book, because there was standing 'By the author of the twilight saga' but is was so much better!! Haters of twilight will likely not hate this book. I only started reading it because it is one of the books I own (No, I do not own a lot of books, sadly) and I did not regret my decision!!
The book: SPOILER-FREE the world is invaded by aliens. They have taken over almost every human, using them as hosts for themselves. They do nothing bad, they just take over their bodies. (Wait, that is bad...) There is this female spirit, called wanderer. She goes to the planet earth, her 9th planet, and goes into the body of Melanie, one of the last humans on planet earth. Melanie is special, she cannot be supressed by Wanderer. Wanderer has a mission. She has to find other human being, and bring them to her Seeker. Only Melanie does not agree on that. Together, Wanderer and Melanie move towards the desert, where they will find Jared and Jamie, lover and brother of Melanie. They do almost die in the desert, but what happens after that... I'M NOT GONNA TELL YOU :P sorry :)
my opinion: On the characters: I like the creepy frienship-sisterlike thingy between Melanie and Wanderer I LOVE IAN <3 TEAM IAN TEAM IAN

No, wait, I want him as my boyfriend, since he and I are about the same age (A) And, sorry Jared, Melanie, ... but I do NOT LIKE JARED seriously, he sees his big love again, and her eyes are different and he hates her. (okay, I kinda get it, but -.-) whatever...
on the way the book was written: Great, normal english, not too easy or difficult, not too girly, 9/10
on the book: Like this. Love/Hate relationships <3 Love most of the characters and, this book kinda frightens me of aliens... :$ (fail, I know)
on the cover: CREEPINESS!!! I do most certainly NOT like the cover. Also, this book wil sell a way better if they remove every twilight-ish thing from the cover. But they are right when they say : "never judge a book by its cover" !
so total: I am going to give this book 4.3 stars / 5
SUPER SPOILER! I loved the book, but I totally hate this kind of happy endings Stephenie Meyer writes. Too twilight-ish. Somewhere deep inside I think it would have been better if Wanda had died. But when she did not, I did feel kinda relieved she survived... (I'm a kinda tragedy person...)

note: this book is NOT young adult! I read it because my sister made me, she just loved the book. I did not really like it. But still, I get why all younger children like this book so much. I would recommend it to all children aged 7 - 11, boys and girls, they'll love the book. But, if your older, you might still like it ;)

my opinion: The book is full of cartoons O.o awesome. Also, I read this book in less than 90 minutes, so it was not hard to read at all. Actually, it was way too easy... I did not like the character Greg, all he cares about is himself amd being popular, even if he has to set aside his best friend. I DID like his best friend! Rowley is this funny awesome dude who just does not want to grow up. I want him as my crazy best friend O.o I totally get why 10 year olds love this book. First, because it is full of cartoons, which means they have less to read, which means they like it. (Or at least Dutch children do like it because of that... stupid children O.o) second: it was a kind of funny book. Third, because all children want an easy book to read. And this book was one of the easiest I have ever read since 4th grade or something...

Helloooo everyone :3 I just read the forest of hands and teeth; here's what I think about it:

note: I did not even know what this book was about when I started reading, I just loved the title and saw that it was good on the internet, so I went to the library and borrowed it.
the book: In Mary's world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. my opinion: I just LOVED the book. I did not know that the book was about zombies, but that made it even more awesome!! (I am a friggin' zombie lover O.o) The girl in the book, Mary, is not a very stupid character. Actually, she is a pretty good girl. Why does everything have to happen to her. She is so strong. You also have the character Travis. I really think he's a jerk!! Seriously, he is married, but loves someone else, who is also married (to his brother!!) and loves him. But, he did not go for her because his brother loved her. It just makes no sense o.o . Then there is Mary's brother, Jed. He also is a very good character, and also for him counts, why does all the bad stuff have to happen to him?! Seriously what was wrong with the author? Then you also have the future world. It seems like the zombies (the Unconsecrated) have taken over everything, including all people. It's just horrible to see how the world will be in this future. Let's all be happy that our world is not like that one... The whole point of the book is actually this Mary girl looking for the sea.
the ending of the book: !! full of spoilers !! After everyone died (yeah, every single person I really loved or hated in this book ;c ) Mary finally finds the sea, and meets a men there. That's the ending, that's it. Love the ending, it is super-sad. But because of that it is just perfect.
extra: there's gonna be a friggin' MOVIE O.o (with Kristin Stewart who'll hopefully not ruin the whole movie... :S) also, there's a part 2 :D Gonna try to read it as soon as possible!!
Cycling home I was thinking: What if the actors in twilight were not pretty? Would Twilight still be popular? I doubt... 2.5 stars, and they should be very happy with that...
